Spent a fun day yesterday with Carol & Eileen at the Lancaster AQS Show. Wish we would have been able to spend the night as it was just too much to see in a few hours. We didn't even get to the 2nd location. And Carol & I had signed up for an afternoon class from 1-4. Thoroughly enjoyed my class.
The quilts were absolutely amazing. Just when I start thinking that I am a good quilter I go to a show and am in awe of the talented people out there. I am sure that some had 100+ hrs of quilting time alone. Of course I forgot to take my camera with me.

Fabric Donation
A big thank you to Vicki S. for large donation of fabric. I picked up all the bags & boxes yesterday in the rain. I started to sort through it last night and finding some great fabrics. Should be plenty to keep us going all year.

Final Yearly Distribution
I've made the last of the distributions bringing our total quilts donated this year at 520. A big thank you to everyone for all your hard work. And with that, it's the time of year that I put charity quilts aside and make something for me. I've gotten a good start on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt. Trying to play catch up. If you'd like to play along visit her site for directions www.quiltville.blogspot.com
I bought an Accuquilt Go cutter so playing with it also. Hope to use it to help cut kits next year.

Christmas Party
Today Carol & I attended the Christmas party given for the Parent/Child Center. There were 75 children in attendance plus parents. After feasting on hotdogs and homemade noodle soup, we handed out the quilts. All the kids were so delighted with their quilts, even the teenaged boys and girls. Just look at these smiles. Make it all worthwhile.
